I bought the fridge and the phone, but have nowhere to put them. The fridge will be delivered on 13 January, which is the day before I am meant to move in (this time). Apparently, the internet has been connected, but I can't test it as I have the modem here and don't want to install it at the new house in case the builders pinch it! I have yet to get a new TV and phone table (don't know why I got a landline, but I'll see how it goes).
Overall, I have been very happy with the whole building process, except for these last delays. I REALLY wanted to be able to move in before Christmas because I have two weeks off work and this would have been perfect to organise the house.
I am about to go to the house and take the plans and specifications and go through it with a fine tooth comb to see what isn't quite right. At least it's a bit cooler today. Having said that, I paid lots of money to have insulation installed in the wall cavities, so hopefully, the house will be cooler than it would have been.
